Class of 2000
Congratulations to Rudi Gesch who coached his team on October 29, 2009 to win the 2009 Illinois Division 1A soccer title over Peoria Christian. Rudi was on the 1998 SCCHS state championship team and is in his third year of coaching at Timothy Christian High School in Elmhurst, IL.
Congratulations to Jacob & Liesa (Hendrikson) Blattner on the birth of Donovan Michael on February 23, 2010.
Marty Walcott was recently promoted to Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force. He and his family live in Oklahoma.

Andrea (Dommisse) Brunner is working part-time at the Monroe Public LIbrary (Monroe, WI) and hopes to complete her Masters Degree in Library and Information Science by May 2011 through the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Jared Krutke's memory is being honored by his former unit, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 74, when his fellow US Navy Seabees dedicated a camp in his name. Camp Krutke was built in southern Afghanistan which will serve as the battalion's headquarters, housing sailors, and storing equipment and materials.

Congratulations to Zac & Stacy (Vander Ploeg) Casper (Zac, Class of 2003) on their marriage on August 7, 2010.
The Oostburg Christian School Charger Shoot-out has been renamed the Jason Mentink Memorial Basketball Tournament in memory of Jason as he was on the team during the first Charger Shoot-out and his love of the game.

The SCCHS community expresses sympathy to the family of Jason Mentink who passed away unexpectedly on January 28, 2010. His wife, Danielle (Sanders) is also a 2002 graduate.

Class of 2003
Congratulations to Junwen & Christine (Gabrielse) Lin on their October 1, 2011 wedding. They live in California.
Nathan Vis recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Valparaiso School of Law in May 2010, and passed the Indiana Bar Exam during the summer. Nathan joined Rhame & Elwood Attorneys at Law in the spring of 2010, and in October was sworn in as a certified attorney for the state of Indiana.
Vis graduated from Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights in 2007 with Highest Honors with a B.S. degree, with a double-major in political science and communication arts. While at Trinity, Nate served as president of the student body and editor of the “Courier,” Trinity’s student newspaper. He also volunteered as a coach of the mock trial team at a local Christian High School.
At Valparaiso, Nathan participated in the Honors Program and as a top performer on the Trial Advocacy Team and served on the team’s executive board. He interned for the Magistrate Judy for the Federal Northern District of Indiana, the Illinois Road Builders Association, the Indiana Federal Prosecutor’s Office, the Federal Highway Legal Department, and the legal department at the American Medical Association.
Vis has been married to Allyson (Lenting) since 2008 and is the son of Dave and Mary Vis of Sheboygan Falls, WI.
Jordan Huenink works at Kurtis Production in Chicago as a production assistant.
David Locke successfully completed the process and examination to become a LEED Accredited Professional for Neighorhood Development. David is an Associate Landscape Architect in the Nashville, TN office of Barge Waggoner Sum ner & Cannon, Inc and on of the first in the nation to achieve this accreditation.

Congratulations to Tyler Egerer and Amanda Gabrielse on their engagement. A July 21, 2012 wedding in being planned. Tyler graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a degree in business and communications. He is employed by Johnsonville Sausage.
