ADVISORY GROUPS

All students are divided into Advisory Groups, with a faculty member as a coordinator. These groups meet in “homeroom” style three mornings a week. (Chapel is held on the other two mornings, where groups sit together.) Groups consist of a combination of all grades so that students from different classes get to know each other. Activities focus on team building activities, discussion groups, and service projects.
Service projects can vary by the season from collecting food for the Campus Life Food Pantry in October to putting together boxes for Operation Christmas Child in December. Once a year, typically in the spring, an afternoon of school is taken to provide service within the greater Sheboygan community. Groups go to various places such as Safe Harbor, the Humane Society, Terry Andrea State Park, or the Salvation Army Child Care Center, to name a few. Service is given through painting, cleaning, doing yard work, washing windows, etc. These trips are coordinated by the faculty member and details for each specific group are sent out prior to the Service Day.
We encourage students to service in voluntary ways in their communities.
