FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL / ALL SCHOOL MIXER EVENTS
On the first day of school, students are expected to arrive on time – by 7:48 a.m. After a shortened schedule of classes where textbooks are handed out and an overview of each class is given, students are taken by bus to TerryAndrea State Park for an afternoon of games and fun. Student Council provides a lunch (usually hamburgers and hot dogs) and coordinates organized games.
Students are then taken by bus back to Christian High in time for afternoon dismissal (3:09 p.m.) – and in time for sports practices.
Attire should be modest casual for the beach – one piece suits or modest suits for girls. Shorts and t-shirts are also acceptable. Bring a towel as you may get wet! Swimming is also allowed in the lake if the weather cooperates.
