MISCELLANEOUS EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITES

DRAMA
Each fall and spring, the Drama Department puts on a performance, musical, or dinner theatre. Directed by either a faculty member or a parent hired, try-outs are held after school, followed by practices after school. Performances are held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings; with a matinee generally held for area junior high students on Thursday. Prices vary by performance. The script is chosen by the director and approved by the administrator.

FORENSICS
Forensics begin in late November / early December and practices are held during the school day (usually during the student’s study hall) with Coaches Brenda Reiskytl or Heather Johnson. Meets are on the school calendar and usually held on Saturdays. Students car pool to the various meets around the area.

YEARBOOK
Yearbook advisor Donna Riemersma meets with yearbook staff members every Tuesday immediately after school. Students work in various capacities – layout, artwork, and photos. Students can sign up to be photographers and have access to the school’s cameras to take pictures of various events or activities.

MOCK TRIAL
In Mock Trial, students serve as attorneys and witnesses in a court case played out before a panel of real judges and attorneys in a real courtroom.  Beginning in the second week of November, students and their coaches will work with facts provided by the Wisconsin Bar Foundation to develop a defense and prosecution case which will go to trial Saturday, the first week in February in the Sheboygan County Courthouse.  Students will work with either their teacher or attorney coach twice a week throughout November and December (usually after school) and daily throughout the month of January.  All students are welcome to work on the case, but the final team is limited to a maximum of six attorneys and six witnesses.

EAGLE EYE
The school’s newspaper, THE EAGLE EYE, is supervised by Kevin Gesch. Students write articles, design layouts, and print copies available various times throughout the year.
