STUDENT COUNCIL

Student Council elections are held in the spring for the following year. Freshmen elections are held in the fall of their freshman year. The faculty advisor is Miss Darla Redeker.

Student Council meets on Tuesday mornings at 7:00 a.m. until school starts. They plan activities such as Homecoming Week, October Party, Thanksgiving Turkey Hot Lunch, and Christmas Banquet.

All-School Mixer on the first day of school is held in the afternoon at Terry Andrea State Park.  See more information under "First Day of School" heading.

Homecoming Week consists of several different activities throughout the week (intramural events, milk chug contests, etc). Usually there are different “dress up” days as well – varying from blue & gold day or “twin day”.

October Party is a time where students gather for lip sync contests, music performances and, of course, party food! Admission is usually $2 or two canned goods for the food pantry. Students may dress up in costume, but it is not mandatory.

Thanksgiving Turkey Hot Lunch – Student Council Coordinates this special hot lunch the week prior to Thanksgiving. Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, and corn are offered to any student who signs up and pays in advance in the school office. Moms of Council members may be asked to cook and debone a turkey the weekend before the hot lunch.

Christmas Banquet – is covered under a separate heading.
