STUDENT LIFE

CLASS FUNDRAISERS
Each class participates in one fundraiser per year to raise funds for class projects. There is one fundraiser per quarter – seniors have their fundraiser first quarter, juniors - second quarter, sophomores – third quarter, and freshmen – fourth quarter. Money earned will help pay for their junior/senior banquet, senior retreat, and the senior class gift.

STUDENT PICTURES are taken each fall. At this time parents may purchase a picture package of their student.

SENIOR PICTURES are arranged by individual families at the photographer of their choice. Yearbook requires a copy for the senior pages of the yearbook.

CHAPEL is held twice a week, usually on Mondays and Thursdays from 7:53 – 8:18 a.m. Typically, Monday chapels have a guest speaker and Thursday chapels are student-led Praise & Worship. During Spiritual Emphasis week, a guest speaker is brought in and there is chapel every morning at 7:53 a.m. Parents are welcome to attend chapel at any time.

LUNCH – Christian High has a hot lunch program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, although some students bring a sack lunch. There are microwaves in the MPR for student use. Milk tickets are available in the school office for $1 per card – five (5) punches per card. Each time a student gets milk at lunch, his/her card is punched by the milk attendant.

Hot lunch items vary in price from $1.50-2.50 for the main entree, with salads, yogurt, chips, bars, etc., for $.50-75 each.  The menu is printed in the GOLD NOTE and daily announcements. Payment is collected in the lunch line – you do not order or pay in advance.

Each Friday, the Yearbook Staff serves pizza from the Pizza Ranch ($1/slice) with a choice of cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and dessert pizza (Cactus Bread). Students sign up for their choice of pizza in the office before 10:00 a.m. (i.e. Joe Smith – 2 cheese, 1 pepperoni) and pay in the lunch line.

SCCHS has a “closed campus” for lunch. Students may bring sack lunches; however, no fast food is allowed brought in. We encourage students to support the hot lunch program rather than bring in other restaurant food.
