Dear Friend of Christian High,
"The process of globalization is creating both new opportunities and challenges for Christians in the 21st Century. I confess that sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the rapid pace of change. But it is at those times that I am so thankful for the firm grounding that I received at Sheboygan County Christian High School. God's truth never changes, and I praise God for faithful teachers who taught me those truths on a daily basis, truths that helped prepare me for a lifetime of kingdom service." - Brian Fikkert, Class of 1982
As Brian emphasizes in his quote, future leaders need to deal with the complexity of an uncertain world. A biblical grounding is the most critical tool when dealing with uncertainty and rapid change. Last year I read a book by Brian Fikkert without realizing he was an alumnus of Christian High. I was struck by the depth of his biblical understanding of poverty as he forced me to wrestle with tough questions. I am humbled to be part of an organization that helped provide the foundation of that understanding.
You can help provide that biblical foundation for our current students and help secure the future of SCCHS! Thank you for considering a gift to SCCHS and the families we serve. Please know your investment is well-directed and prudently invested in the life of a child. The Board at Sheboygan County Christian High School is striving to be forward focused and plan for the future. It is a joyous and challenging time at Christian High.
We are pleased to have the largest freshmen class in the past five years and larger than many private schools in the surrounding Sheboygan County area. Five of our twenty-one seniors have scored 30 or higher on the ACT this year. We have innovative teaching, updated learning spaces because of a gift for new classroom furniture, and have been blessed with grant funding for a new Mac computer lab and a gift for an updated look in the kitchen.
Your generosity helps make it possible for our students to reach their God–given potential through blended learning programs, Bible Portfolio, the new Mac Lab, art classes, and extra-curricular activities (athletics, drama, and music). These help build a stable environment for our students, make a lasting impact on our graduates and their families.
God’s blessings,
Corey J. Navis, Administrator, Sheboygan County Christian High School
Annual Campaign
Christian High is thankful for the generous support from our alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends of Christian education in Sheboygan County. Giving a gift to the Annual Campaign assists us in attaining our goal to operate with a balanced budget. It helps us update curriculum and textbooks and meet other general educational needs. We need to be good stewards of the property that has been entrusted to us. We must grow enrollment to stay viable and continue to promote Christian education, expanding connections with area churches and schools.
Our Annual Campaign goal for 2011-2012 is $150,000.
